On October 28, 2025, Jiangbei’s first comprehensive museum—the Lu He Museum—opened its doors for a highly anticipated trial operation.
Strolling through the museum feels like stepping into an intimate dialogue between tradition and modernity, where the echoes of history meet the promise of the future. Centered on the theme of “Luhe’s Historical and Cultural Heritage,” the Lu He Museum features three permanent exhibitions — an Exhibition of the History and Culture of Luhe , the Four-Township Culture Gallery and the Intangible Heritage Old Street — along with a dedicated space for rotating shows. Integrating heritage preservation, cultural displays, science education and leisure experiences, the museum offers the public an immersive window into the timeless charm of Luhe through past and present.
The Historical Culture Hall immediately captures visitors’ attention: the Sword of King Goujian of Yue still gleams with razor-sharp brilliance; a full set of chime bells stands in solemn formation; and a celadon lotus-shaped vessel showcases elegant craftsmanship. These artifacts, once silent behind glass, now appear as “living fossils” carrying centuries of Luhe’s memories. Under the curated lighting, each piece seems to breathe with history, inviting visitors to slow down and savor the stories of the past.
Even more stunning is the museum’s large-scale immersive installation. Powered by advanced light-and-space technologies, it offers a bird’s-eye “flight perspective,” transporting visitors across Luhe’s past and present—from the bustling markets of ancient Tangyi, to the transformations of the modern era, and finally to the contemporary urban landscape. Each shifting scene is brought to life with cinematic clarity.
The museum also offers thoughtful visitor amenities, including a cultural and creative shop, a rooftop garden and a café. After exploring the galleries, guests can browse for souvenirs or enjoy tea in the garden, taking time to reflect on the journey through history.
