2025 Jiangsu High-Quality Development in Tourism Theme Event Opens in Yancheng

With the autumn breeze stirring the coastal forests, the 2025 Jiangsu High-Quality Development in Tourism Theme Event officially opened on October 28 at the Huanghai National Forest Park in Dongtai, Yancheng. Guided by the China Tourism Association  and hosted by the Jiangsu Tourism Association , the event was organized by Dongtai Huanghai National Forest Park  in Yancheng, the Yancheng Tourism Association and Jiangsu Xinhua Advertising Co., Ltd . Distinguished attendees included: Duan Qiang, President of the China Tourism Association; Li Chuan, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism; Zhan Gengqing, former First-Class Inspector of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism; Wei Xiao’an, Chief Expert of the World Tourism Cities Federation ; Huang Xibieke • Nuerdan, Vice Mayor of Yancheng Municipal People’s Government ; Li Jie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Dongtai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Dongtai; Zhu Yinsheng, President of the Jiangsu Tourism Association; Wang Dingsheng, President of the Anhui Provincial Tourism Association ; Zhang Xiaoyu, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Tourism Association ; and Xu Jiawen, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Tourism Association.

At the opening ceremony, Huang Xibieke • Nuerdan, Vice Mayor of Yancheng, delivered a welcome address noting that Yancheng’s distinctive “four-color culture” vividly reflects the city’s spirit, landscapes and contemporary character. He expressed hopes that the event would spark new ideas for integrated cultural and tourism development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, injecting fresh momentum into building tourism into a pillar industry, a people-centered industry and an industry of wellbeing. He extended a warm invitation to all guests to experience Yancheng’s unique ecological charm, rich cultural atmosphere and vibrant development.

Held under the theme “Fusion & Innovation, Quality Leading the Future,” the event gathered more than 500 participants, including leaders and guests from the national cultural and tourism sector, heads of cultural and tourism bureaus, tourism associations, cultural tourism groups from across Jiangsu’s prefectures and counties, industry experts, entrepreneurs and media representatives. Together, they explored new forms of cultural–tourism integration and highlighted tourism’s role as a catalytic force for coordinated development. The event aimed to unite industry resources, guide stakeholders in seizing emerging opportunities, and strengthen industrial revitalization through integrated thinking. It also sought to enhance information exchange, resource sharing, visitor exchange and win-win cooperation across the province, contributing to the steady and long-term high-quality development of Jiangsu’s tourism industry.
