On July 15, 2025 (local time), the Jiangsu Tourism (UAE) Promotion Center successfully held a cultural tourism roadshow in Dubai, attracting 35 representatives from 26 UAE tourism entities. This marked a pivotal step in Jiangsu’s Middle East market expansion.

Suzhou embroidery, Nanjing cloud brocade and Yixing purple clay teapots dazzled attendees with exquisite craftsmanship. Multimedia displays highlighted the “Charm of Jiangsu” with classical gardens, water towns and modern cities, offering a stark yet complementary contrast to Middle Eastern landscapes. Local tour operators and media praised these resources for enriching regional tourism diversity.

During the event, the Jiangsu Tourism (UAE) Promotion Center was officially inaugurated. As Jiangsu’s first dedicated tourism promotion institution in the Middle East, the center will undertake responsibilities including destination branding and curated itinerary promotion. Representatives from Dubai Tourism and Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority expressed strong approval of the cooperation framework, with all parties agreeing to deepen collaboration in tourist exchange programs and joint product development.

Capitalizing on policy advantages such as the China-UAE mutual visa exemption, increased direct flight frequency and China’s comprehensive visa waiver for Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the center will introduce specialized tour packages featuring intangible cultural heritage experiences and Grand Canal culture. These initiatives will amplify the global appeal of “Charm of Jiangsu” while injecting fresh vitality into people-to-people exchanges under the China-Arab Belt and Road cooperation framework.
